PONTIAC, MI : Pontiac woman dies in Livingston County crash on Saturday, 17th August 2019

A Pontiac woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night.

Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson said first responders were notified of the crash at 10:50 p.m. Saturday approximately one-half mile south of Illinois 116 on Old Route 66.The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not yet been released. An autopsy is scheduled.


It was the second fatal crash in a week in rural Livingston County. One man died following a crash last weekend.

Assisting the coroner’s office at the scene Saturday night were the Pontiac Police, Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, Duffy Ambulance, Pontiac Fire, Illinois State Police and the Illinois State Police Reconstruction Unit.
