RENTON, WA : Suspected car thief on the run after crash on Monday, 26th November 2018

A suspected car thief is on the run after crashing a stolen car then running from the scene, leaving an injured woman in the passenger seat behind.
The 1987 Pontiac Fiero was heading south on SR-509 around 8:30 p.m. when the driver lost control and the car left the roadway and rolled over, according to Trooper Rick Johnson.
The driver got out and ran off to the south. Meanwhile, police responding to the scene came upon a 43-year-old woman still in the passenger seat with serious injuries, Johnson said. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Troopers said she was not wearing a seat belt.
Renton officers searched the area with police dogs but came up empty.
The car had been reported stolen on Thursday. If the drive is captured, he'll face potential felony hit-and-run charges in addition to any other charges, Johnson said.
