A school bus driver died early Monday while taking students to China Grove Middle School, about 15 miles north of Concord in Rowan County, reports WBTV.
The crash happened just after 7 a.m near the intersection of North Main Street and Highway 152 and police believe the driver died of a medical condition rather than the impact of the wreck, reported the Salisbury Post.
China Grove Middle School is located near the crash site, at 1013 North Main Street.
Investigators say the bus hit a utility pole and came to a stop on the property of a business, WBTV reported.
