Identity released of motorcyclist killed on Route 611 in Bucks County
A deadly motorcycle crash shutdown Route 611 in both directions in Warrington, Bucks County most of Tuesday morning.The accident happened at 4:22 a.m. Tuesday south of Kelly Road at the entrance to the Eureka Stone Quarry.Police say a 2001 Yamaha Motorcycle was traveling southbound on Easton Road when it struck a 2003 Mack tri-axle dump truck as it was making a left turn.The operator of the motorcycle, identified as 30-year-old Christopher Gable of Bensalem, died at the scene.Route 611 was closed in both directions for hours between Bristol Road and Kelly Road as police conducted their investigation. The roadway was finally reopened at 12:25 p.m.
The driver of the dump truck, 67-year-old Harry Hill III of Voorhees, New Jersey, was not injured in the incident.The accident remains under investigation.
