Bexar County, TX : Two people died after a violent crash on U.S. Highway 281 in North Bexar County on Tuesday night, December 1, 2015
Two people are dead following a violent crash in North Bexar County Tuesday night.
The accident occurred around 7 p.m.
Roseanne Hughes, a Bexar County Sheriff's spokeswoman, confirmed two of three men were killed in a crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and East Borgfeld Drive.
Deputies said a black Chevy Avalanche was traveling southbound on Hwy. 281 when it T-boned a silver Nissan Frontier pickup truck that had a green light, causing it to roll over.
We're told one of the vehicles appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed, but the Sheriffs Office is still investigating.
The Bexar-Bulverde Volunteer Fire Department and the Bexar County Sheriff's Office both responded.
Hughes said the Jaws-of-Life were used to free two of the entrapped victims.
The third victim was taken by helicopter to University Hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries but is expected to survive.
The names of the two men killed will be released by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office after the family is notified.
