Quincy, IL : 20-year-old man injured in one-vehicle crash north of Quincy on Sunday morning, April 24, 2016

A 20-year-old Quincy man suffered moderate injuries in connection with a one-vehicle crash north of Quincy Sunday morning.

Chandler Williams, the driver of a 2014 Nissan SUV, was taken to Blessing Hospital by private vehicle. No passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department reported deputies found the SUV in a field near East 603rd Lane and North 1950th Place around 6:28 a.m. No one was near the SUV at the time.

Deputies later learned Williams was at Blessing. They determined he was heading southbound on East 603rd when the SUV left the road and struck a tree, causing major damage to the vehicle.

The investigation remains ongoing.
