Akron, OH : A 41-year-old man was killed in a early morning crash between two vehicles at Triplett Boulevard On Saturday, July 16th, 2016
A 41-year-old man of Springfield Township, Ohio, was killed early morning Saturday.
According to Akron police, it happened on Triplett Boulevard near Staegar Street, shortly before 3 a.m.
The driver lost control, drove off the road and struck a fire hydrant. The car then flipped onto its side and came to rest against a pole.
The driver, whose name is being held at this time, was killed on impact with the utility pole.
According to police, the car was speeding.
