AKER, LA : Pedestrian struck and killed outside Baton Rouge on Wednesday, 2nd May 2018

Authorities say a pedestrian has been struck and killed in Baker.

Louisiana State Police spokesman Bryan Lee says the crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday.

No further information was immediately available Wednesday morning.

Baker is about 12 miles (19 kilometers) north of downtown Baton Rouge.
