San Jose, CA : One person dies in two-vehicle car wreck on Highway 101 near San Jose on Monday morning, Aug 10, 2015

A woman was killed in a crash on Highway 101 in San Jose Monday morning.

The crash occurred near Tully Road around 3 a.m. All traffic was being diverted at the Tully Road exit, while authorities gathered evidence at the scene. The lanes have since reopened.

According to the CHP, this was initially a solo-vehicle crash.

The woman crashed into the center divide.

Authorities say she was either in the backseat of the car, or getting out of the car, when she was hit by an Acura.

The woman died at the scene.

The driver of the Acura and three passengers were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Authorities say the driver of the Acura, 44-year-old Carmen Venegas of Fremont, took a test at the scene and was arrested for driving under the influence.

At this point, additional details have not been released.
