Arlington, VT : No injuries in single-vehicle crash in Arlington on Thursday, 27th December 2018

No injuries were reported after a Jeep Cherokee slid on ice, rolled down an embankment and struck a tree in the early morning hours of Friday, police say.
At 2:19 a.m., troopers from the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury barracks responded to the area of Route 7A near the intersection of White Tail Run Road for the report of a single vehicle crash. Police say the Cherokee, driven by a 30 year-old Londonderry man, was traveling north on Route 7A when it lost control after sliding on ice. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and police say he was wearing a seat belt.
At the time of the crash, Bennington County was under a winter weather advisory and police say it was sleeting, causing the roads to be icy. After driving off the road, the Cherokee rolled down an embankment and came to a rest when it struck a tree. The Cherokee's front passenger side door was dented as a result of the crash.
