Butler Township, PA : 17-year-old injured in Butler Township crash on Wednesday, October 15, 2014

A 17-year-old girl sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Butler Township on Oct. 15, Pennsylvania State Police said. The teen, who was operating a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier, was traveling east on Arendtsville Road around 8 p.m. She failed to stop at Heckenluber Road, police said. The Chevrolet traveled off the left side of the roadway and then struck a stop sign, an embankment and an apple tree, police said. She was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle had moderate front-end damage, police said. Biglerville Emergency Medical Services, Biglerville Fire Department, Arendtsville Fire Department and fire police assisted state police at the scene.
