Pawtucket, RI : Man arrested in Pawtucket hit and run involving toddler on Monday, October 13, 2014
Pawtucket Police have arrested the man they say ran a red light and hit two women and an 8-month-old child on the sidewalk.
Police say 36-year-old Jose Crispin of Pawtucket went through a red light at the intersection of East Street and Middle streets around 2 p.m. Monday.
A van that had the right of way then struck the car, forcing the car to spin out and hit the pedestrians.
Police say Crispin drove off, but was eventually spotted a few blocks away.
The pedestrians suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. One woman broke her arm, another sustained cuts, lacerations, and bruises, and the child suffered a broken leg.
Crispin was charged with 3 counts of hit and run resulting in personal injury, driving without a license, and duty to give information and render aid.
