Hattiesburg,MS : Woman killed in Interstate 59 wreck has been identified on January, Wednesday 31st 2018

One person was killed Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 59 around mile marker 58, close to the U.S. 98 East exit.

Forrest County Coroner identified the victim as Tracey Brown Badon, 45, of Picayune.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop J spokesman Travis Luck said a green Ford F150 was traveling northbound on the interstate when the right rear tire malfunctioned, causing the pickup truck to roll twice.

Badon was a passenger in the vehicle. She was partially ejected in the wreck and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, who has not been identified, was able to escape unharmed.

Both were wearing seat belts, Luck said.

The wreck occurred around 3 p.m. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
