Mamaroneck, NY : Motorcyclist critically injures in crash, south of the village center on Friday evening, May 20, 2016

An accident that left a motorcycle rider critically injured led to the closure of part of Boston Post Road (Route 1) south of the village center for much of Friday evening, officials said. The road re-opened around 7:30 p.m.

The crash, which happened around 1:30 p.m., left the SUV driver uninjured while the motorcyclist was rushed to Jacobi Hospital with severe head injuries, Mamaroneck Village Manager Richard Slingerland said.
