Greene Township, PA : 2 hurt on Wattsburg Road motorcycle crash on Thursday, 19th July 2018

Two Erie residents died Thursday afternoon when their motorcycle crashed in Greene Township.

The crash happened in the 9100 block of Wattsburg Road, Route 8, on Thursday at 2:21 p.m., according to Erie County 911 and the Pennsylvania State Police.

Steven Michael Rekitt, 68, and Sandra Lee Rekitt, 69, were on a red Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a trike kit when it traveled off the roadway and crashed into a utility pole. Witnesses at the scene told Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook that the couple missed a curve before exiting the roadway.
