TOPEKA, KS : One dead in Kansas Turnpike crash involving tanker near Topeka in the eastbound lanes near mile maker 180 of the turnpike on Friday, 28th June 2019

A deadly Friday-morning crash closed the Kansas Turnpike near Topeka and a city street that passes over the highway.

Topeka station WIBW reports one person died in the crash reported about 8:45 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near mile maker 180 of the turnpike.

The Kansas Turnpike Authority closed the highway in both directions between East Topeka and South Topeka, WIBW reports.
