Pendleton,NC : Man dies after getting hit by car in Pender County on August, Friday 1st 2017
Pendleton, North Carolina
A Currie man died early Friday morning after he was hit by a vehicle along US 421 in Pender County.
According to the State Highway Patrol, Craven Chavis, 31, stepped out onto the roadway on US 421 near Sidney Lane and was struck by a 2010 Toyota Camry at approximately 5:50 a.m.
Chavis died at the scene.
State Highway Patrol officials said that charges will not be filed in the incident.
