Phoenix, AZ : 1 hurt after car slams into roadway crash barrier early Sunday morning, October 23, 2016

One person was injured and another arrested on suspicion of impairment in an early-morning accident in Phoenix on Sunday.

At around 2:40 a.m., a vehicle slammed into a crash barrier blocking the Bethany Home Road onramp leading to northbound Interstate 17, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

One person was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

Another person was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
