LEXINGTON, KY : Coroner identifies man hit killed by car overnight in Lexington on Monday, 10th June 2024

The person who was hit and killed by a car in Lexington has been identified.

The coroner’s office says 27-year-old Jacob Payne died from blunt force injuries.

Officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Newtown Road and Sugar Maple Lane just before midnight.

Inbound Newtown Pike was closed for several hours while police investigated.
