Las Vegas, NV : Motorcyclist killed in crash with a minivan at Jones, U.S. 95 on Wednesday evening, Aug 19, 2015

A man on a motorcycle was killed in a crash with a minivan Wednesday evening at the intersection of the northbound U.S. 95 offramp and Jones Boulevard, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

Troopers were called about 7:40 p.m. to the scene, and the man driving the motorcycle was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, Trooper Loy Hixson said. He died later at the hospital.

A woman was taken to MountainView Hospital with minor injuries, and it is unclear which vehicle she was occupying at the time of the crash, Hixson said.

Traffic on northbound Jones was being diverted onto Upland Boulevard, he said.
