Stateline ,NV : 93-year-old dies following crash on Monday ,July 20th 2015

The Nevada Highway Patrol reports a 93-year-old man has died from injuries he sustained in a crash on Kingsbury Grade on Monday.

An official release from the Nevada Highway Patrol states troopers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision that happened on Kingsbury Grade near Katherine Drive in Stateline at 2:44 p.m. Monday.

The preliminary collision investigation details indicate that a white 2008 Ford Ranger pickup driven by a 93-year-old male from Zephyr Cove was traveling westbound on Kingsbury Grade, NHP said.

For unknown reasons, the pickup drifted off the right side roadway edge through a dirt right of way area and struck a tree with the pickup’s front, according to NHP.

NHP said the driver was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

The driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision and impairment does not appear to be a contributing factor.
