2 killed in wreck on southbound in Buford Georgia

Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 985 southbound at Buford Drive Friday afternoon.Gwinnett County Police Corporal Jake Smith said four vehicles -- a box truck, a Nissan passenger car, a Dodge pick-up and a minivan towing a trailer with a minivan -- were involved in the wreck.
Police said the box truck crashed into the Nissan, killing both people inside. After that, the two vehicles hit the pick-up, spinning it into the median. One person in the pick-up was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
After that, the Nissan was pushed into the trailer that was being towed by the minivan.
The Georgia Department of Transportation says the roadway is expected to be cleared at about 7 p.m., as police are continuing their investigation.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
