Folsom, CA : Vehicle crashes into Folsom Raleys’s on Friday, 4th May 2018

At 11:53 a.m., an elderly driver crashed into Raley’s, located at 715 E. Bidwell, said Folsom Fire Department Division Chief Mark Piacentini.

Piacentini said the driver drove right through the front door of the store, through aisle 14 and stopped at the pharmacy in the back of the store.

The store was immediately evacuated and resulted in no injuries to any customers.

The driver was transported to an area hospital to get checked out.

Piacentini said the reason for the collision could have been for a medical emergency or a mechanical issue with the vehicle, but at this time is it unknown.

Piacentini said at this time they are removing the vehicle from the store.

The store is currently closed to the public, and it is unknown when it will reopen.
