Bucks County, PA : 25-year-old Allentown man was dead and two other people were seriously injured Saturday after a head-on wreck on August 23rd 2014
A 25-year-old Allentown man was killed and two other people were seriously injured Saturday after a head-on wreck in upper Bucks County.
Albert T. Lazaro was killed about 5:30 p.m. when a Ford F-150 driven by 72-year-old Barbara Ann Ross crossed into the northbound lane in the 2900 block Richlandtown Pike in Springfield Township, colliding with Lazaro's Honda Civic, according to Pennsylvania State Police at the Dublin barracks.
Ross's vehicle, which sustained major damage, rolled onto its side and slid to a stop, according to a news release from police. The Summerfield, Florida, resident suffered only moderate injuries. She was wearing a seat belt, police said.
The impact of the crash pushed Lazaro's vehicle backward, and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. His passengers, 22-year-old Thomas Lazaro, of Allentown, and 24-year-old Margaret Brown, of Hellertown, suffered major injuries and were flown to St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill, according to police.
A nursing supervisor at St. Luke's said tonight that Brown was in critical condition but stable. She had no information on Thomas Lazaro's condition.
Police said no one in Albert Lazaro's car was wearing a seat belt.
The Pennsylvania State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit reconstructed the crash, while the state police forensics unit gathered evidence, according to police.
