Two brothers described as motorcycle enthusiasts were spotting speeding down a Florida highway late Saturday moments before a woman lost control of her car and created a chain reaction crash that fatally injured both cyclists
Patricia Noel veered across several lanes and struck the median in her Honda Accord heading south on I-95 near Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano Beach, Fla., at 9 p.m., police said.
Kevin Andre Jackson, 54, riding a 2006 Suzuki, swerved to avoid Noel and also hit the median while Andrew Mevitious Jackson, 50, riding a 2001 Suzuki, smashed into the Accord as it ricocheted off the highway wall, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
Both men were ejected from their bikes. Andrew Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene and Kevin Jackson died a short time later at the hospital, according to police.
The brothers were close and were avid street bike riders going back 20 years, friends and family said.
