ATLANTA, GA : Police arrest man they say killed woman in hit-and-run on Thursday, 22nd September 2016

Atlanta police have arrested a man they say left the scene after hitting and killing a pedestrian with his vehicle.

That Javon Cedric Little of Atlanta hit 61-year-old Carolyn Teagle around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Jones said Little briefly stopped after hitting Teagle then left the scene and finally returned about 30 miutes later. Teagle suffered massive head trauma and died from her injuries.

Fulton County jail records show Little faces charges of vehicular homicide, hit-and-run, reckless driving and failure to yield at a crosswalk. It was not immediately clear whether he had an attorney who could comment on the charges.
