Motorcyclist who collided with a car at MacArthur Boulevard

A motorcyclist who collided with a car at MacArthur Boulevard and Lawrence Avenue Sunday afternoon hurt his jaw and could barely talk to police, according to an accident report.

Joseph A. Midiri, 61, of the 1900 block of Dial Court was struck by a car driven by Margarito Morales-Lopez, 24, of the 300 block of West Scarritt Avenue. Midiri was taken in an ambulance to the hospital. His condition was not available Sunday night.

The report stated that Morales-Lopez was southbound on MacArthur and turned left in front of Midiri. Morales-Lopez had a green light but not a green arrow.

Both vehicles had to be towed. The accident happened at 11:25 a.m.

Morales-Lopez was cited for not having a proper driver’s license and failure to yield.
