Perry Township, OH : Perry Township crash sends two persons to hospital on Saturday night July 5th 2014
A serious injury crash occurred Saturday night at around 11:15 p.m. in Perry Township.
The accident took place near the junction of U.S. 20 and Narrows Road. A 1998 Jeep Cherokee was southbound attempting to turn left and failed to yield. It was struck by a motorcycle.
The driver of the Jeep, a 30-year-old Mentor resident, was not hurt. The motorcycle driver, a 71-year old of Perry, was seriously injured. The motorcyclist was transported to Tri-Point Hospital, then life-flighted to Metro where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
Concord Township Fire Department and EMS were on scene to assist with traffic and the motorcyclist’s medical treatment.
The Chardon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Speed or alcohol do not appear to be a factor at this time.
