Aiken County, SC : 37-year-old Jason Moore and 30-year-old Amanda Tarver killed in a motorcycle crash near Levels Church Road on Friday morning, August 26, 2016

The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirms a motorcycle crash killed two people in Aiken County on Friday morning.

Investigators believe the motorcycle was heading east on Richland Avenue when the driver lost control near Levels Church Road. The motorcycle toppled and hit the curb.

The driver has been identified as 37-year-old Jason Moore of Graniteville. The passenger, 30-year-old Amanda Tarver of Aiken, was also killed. The coroner's office believes the crash happened late Thursday night or early Friday morning, but the victims weren't found until hours later. Someone called Highway Patrol for help just before 7 a.m.

Investigators say Moore was not wearing a helmet. Tarver did have a helmet. The coroner's office is awaiting toxicology results in this case.
