Bridgewater, N.J : Man suffers serious injuries in Route 22 motorcycle crash on Wednesday afternoon, April 5, 2017
A Pennsylvania man was airlifted to a local hospital following a motorcycle accident on Route 22 Wednesday afternoon, township police spokesman Lt. Michael Maxwell said in a news release Thursday.
At 5:33 p.m., Mark Dillion, 62, of Norristown, Pa., was riding a 2007 Yamaha FJR when he attempted to enter the right lane on Route 22 westbound from the Americas Best Value Inn, police said.
Dillon's motorcycle struck a trailer pulled by a Ford F-550 driven by a 34-year-old Somerville man, police said.
Dillon was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick with serious injuries, according to the release.
The accident is under investigation by the Bridgewater Police Department's Traffic Safety Bureau.
