An accident shut down a busy stretch of Route 222 in Berks County late Saturday afternoon. The accident, which happened between Route 73 and Pleasant Hill Road in Maidencreek Township, involved six cars and a tractor trailer, according to emergency officials.
Multiple people were injured and taken to the hospital, according to crews on the scene.
