TROY, MO : Hannibal man escapes injury in crash on Thursday, 15th August 2019
A Hannibal man escaped injury Thursday night when an inattentive driver struck the back of his truck.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that Jack L. Kirtlink, 56, of Hannibal, was performing road maintenance at 8:20 p.m. on southbound U.S. 61, north of Route KK, and a 2013 Kia Optima driven by Kaelin N. Conrow, 27, of Winfield, also was traveling south. The patrol said Conrow was inattentive and failed to notice Kirtlink's vehicle, and the front of the Kia struck the back of the International truck.
Conrow, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis with minor injuries.
