Livingston, NY: Tractor accident victim charged with DWI on Tuesday, July 14th 2015
A man injured when his tractor overturned was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to New York State Police.The victim, Robert C. Egan, 49, of Germantown, was treated at the scene by Northern Dutchess Paramedics and taken to Albany Medical Center with noncritical injuries. Troop K spokeswoman Trooper Melissa McMorris said she did not know whether Egan remained hospitalized Tuesday.Egan was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor, McMorris said.Initial 911 reports that the victim was pinned underneath the tractor were incorrect, she said.“The tractor did not land on the person, he was lying in the road beside the tractor,” McMorris said Tuesday.
