Leitchfield, KY : A Falls of Rough woman was injured in a crash on Monday, June 5, 2017

A Falls of Rough woman was injured in a crash that claimed the life of a Harned woman on Monday night, June 5.

Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 4 Troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision in Breckinridge County on Monday night.

At approximately 7:20 p.m. CST, KSP received a call of a two-vehicle accident one mile south of US 60 on KY 259 in Harned.

27-year-old Dreama Woods, of Hudson, was traveling North on KY 259 in a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix.

18-year-old Shauna Lucas, of Falls Of Rough, was traveling south on KY 259.

For unknown reasons, the vehicle driven by Woods crossed the center line into the southbound lane striking the vehicle driven by Lucas head on.

Lucas was transported to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital with multiple minor injuries and was later released.

Woods was pronounced dead at the scene by the Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office.

An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday, June 6 at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville. Toxicology is pending.

The accident is still under investigation by KSP Trooper Brandon Brooks.
