Houston, TX : Friendswood motorcyclist dead after wreck with vehicle on Tuesday, 20th September 2016
A Friendswood motorcyclist died Tuesday, Sept. 20 from injuries he sustained in a crash with a vehicle, Friendswood police said Wednesday.
At 12:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Jeremy Brooks, 42, of Heritage Park was speeding on a Harley Davidson motorcycle while headed westbound in the 3100 block of West Bay Area Boulevard, police said in a release.
The motorcycle collided with a Ford Mustang that was in the center turn lane.
Police said Brooks was not wearing a helmet. He had a suspended and expired driver's license at the time of the crash. Brooks was taken to Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, where he died Tuesday night.
The driver of the red Ford Mustang was a 20-year old League City man, who was cooperative with investigators. He was not injured, provided a voluntary blood specimen and was released without charges after providing a statement to police.
Police are still investigating the crash.
