LEMOORE, CA : Two seriously injured in crash near Lemoore on April, Monday 3rd 2017
A van overturned and caught fire Monday morning, seriously injuring two people, the California Highway Patrol said.
Around 6:18 a.m., the CHP responded to a crash at the intersection of Highway 41 and Jackson Avenue. The CHP said a 2017 Honda was driving westbound on Jackson Avenue when the driver, a 21-year-old Watsonville man, failed to stop at the posted stop sign. The Honda hit a 2003 Chevrolet.
The CHP said the two vehicles came to rest in a dirt field southwest of the intersection. The 43-year-old man driving the Chevrolet and a 21-year-old male passenger in the Honda suffered major injuries. They were taken by helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
Both men were listed in critical condition as of Monday morning.
