Knoxville, TN : Pedestrian dead after a crash in west Knox County on Friday morning, Nov 27, 2015

A pedestrian is dead after an early morning crash in west Knox County.

Just after midnight Friday morning Tennessee Highway Patrol says 31-year-old Justin Heaton was standing in the middle of Oak Ridge Highway near Joe Daniels Road.

An SUV traveling eastbound tried to avoid hitting him, but the crash killed
Heaton.

The three people in the SUV were uninjured.
