Brdgewater Township , MI : Corrections officer killed in accident after black Pontiac slammed head on into a white Ford F-150 at Michigan Avenue on Friday ,February 13th 2015

Police are investigating a fatal car accident that has taken the life of a corrections officer.

According to police, 33-year-old Chad Hilborn died just after 7:30 a.m. after an accident near Michigan Avenue and Arkona Road in Bridgewater Township. Hilborn was driving in black Pontiac that slammed head on into a white Ford F-150.

The driver of the Ford was taken to the hospital by helicopter.

He had been a member of the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office since 2011. His wife is also a Washtenaw Metro Dispatch employee.
