Police say a man in his 60s has died after suffering a medical condition while driving his pickup truck in the village of Saranac Lake.
Saranac Lake Police Sgt. Geoff Carmichael tells the Adirondack Daily Enterprise that the man's GMC Sierra crashed into a stone wall on Broadway in the village on Monday morning.
John LaPier was driving a Time Warner Cable repair truck behind the pickup and saw the crash. He said he called 911 and ran to the vehicle and saw that the driver was having a medical emergency.
The man was pronounced dead at Adirondack Medical Center. His name wasn't released, pending notification of relatives.
