TURNERS, MO : Two-vehicle crash injures 2 on Highway D east of Springfield on Wednesday, 26th October 2016

A two-vehicle head-on crash injured two people on Highway D (Sunshine Street) between Springfield and Missouri 125. The accident was shortly after 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a westbound 2014 Honda CRV driven by Jessica O'Neil, 20, of Fair Grove, crossed the center line and hit an eastbound 2007 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Janice Price, 72, of Rogersville. Both O'Neil and Price are seriously injured. Troopers say both were wearing seat belts.

The Logan-Rogersville fire department, several paramedics, and law enforcement officers were at the scene. The crash, cleanup and investigation closed the highway for at least an hour.
