Lubbock, TX : One person was arrested after a three-vehicle crash on Monday, June 26, 2017
One person was arrested after a three-vehicle crash Monday evening in West Lubbock County.
The crash was reported about 5:15 p.m. on FM 179 and County Road 6900, according to Sgt. John Gonzalez with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators believe 32-year-old Edgardo Corea-Giron was driving east on CR 6900 when he disregarded a stop sign, colliding into a southbound vehicle. That crash prompted the southbound vehicle to collide into a third, northbound vehicle. No injuries were reported.
“The driver of the eastbound vehicle was transported to Lubbock County Detention Center,” Gonzalez said in a statement. “At this time (the) crash is still under investigation and charges (are) pending.”
Corea-Giron was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. As of 9:30 p.m. Monday night, Corea-Giron was still in jail.
