Jacksonville, FL : Motorcyclist killed in Northwest Jacksonville crash on Friday, 4th November 2016

A man was killed and a juvenile was hospitalized Friday evening after the motorcycle they were riding collided with another vehicle in Northwest Jacksonville, police said.

The motorcycle was heading south on Avenue B near Weaver Road about 6 p.m. when a northbound vehicle apparently tried to turn left at the intersection and the vehicles crossed paths, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the motorcycle died en route to the hospital, police said. The juvenile passenger was taken to UF Health but the extent of his injuries was not immediately clear.

Police said the driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.
