Franklin County , OH : 30 years old women killled after trapped in a burning SUV at S. Hamilton Road on Sunday , February 8th 2015
Columbus police have identified the fourth victim — and second fatality — from a fiery East Side crash early on Sunday.
Desiree Reed, 30, was trapped in a burning SUV in the 2:45 a.m. crash on I-70 between I-270 and S. Hamilton Road, police said.
She died from what Franklin County Coroner Anahi Ortiz said were injuries from being crushed.
Melita Briggs, 31, was driving west on I-70 when the SUV crossed the median, crashed through a wire guardrail and became pinned against a support pole for a highway sign, police said. The SUV then caught fire.
Joslin Winborn, 22, was killed when she was ejected from the SUV.
Candis Brown, 27, was in fair condition at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center last night.
Briggs was in critical condition at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center last night.
Police did not give addresses for the women but said they were all from central Ohio. As of last night, police had not determined the cause of the crash.
