Jones County ,MS : 22- Years old Justin Edward Willoughby killed after Motorcycle collided head-on with full size pickup truck on Wednesday ,May 6th 2015

A young Moselle man was killed Wednesday afternoon, May 6, when the motorcycle he was riding collided head-on with a full size pickup truck on Monroe Road in the Shelton community of Jones County.

Justin Edward Willoughby, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene by Jones County Deputy Coroner Burl Hall.

At 3:45 p.m., emergency medical responders and rescue units from South Jones and Southwest Jones Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the intersection of Monroe Road and Dogwood Lake Road where the accident occurred. According to officials on scene, the accident apparently occurred when the Yamaha motorcycle, driven by Willoughby, collided head-on with the Ford pickup as the pickup was turning onto Dogwood Lake Road.

The male driver of the Ford pickup was uninjured.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Jones County Sheriff's Department.

Also responding to the accident were Gordon Pitts, Jones County Deputy Fire Coordinator, Investigator Wayne Black with the Jones County District Attorney's Office, and EMServ Ambulance Service.
