Abilene,TX : DPS investigating morning crash in Eastland County that kills one on January, Saturday 20th 2018

One person was killed in a Saturday morning crash on Intestate 20 in Eastland County.

Two others injured in the crash were taken to Eastland Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries, according to Sgt. Frederick Biddle of the Department of Public Safety.

The crash occurred about 7 a.m. in the eastlbound lanes.

A car hauler traveling east turned over, blocking both lanes of the interstate. An SUV stopped in the blocked roadway and shortly after was struck by another eastbound vehicle. The occupant of the stopped vehicle was killed.

Those injured also were in the stopped vehicle.

Biddle said more information will be available as the investigation proceeds.
