Tallahassee,FL : 2 dead, multiple injured after crashes in Pierson on March, Friday 16th 2018

Two people are dead after four vehicles were involved in two different crashes on U.S. 17, north of Pierson, Florida Highway Patrol reported.

FHP said Donald Morley Jr., 17, lost control of his SUV while driving on US 17 in Pierson and drifted into the path of a jeep wrangler at Dickie Lane.

The jeep's driver, 19-year-old Edward Gibbons died at the scene. Morley was taken to Florida Hospital Deland, where he later died.

Two cars then proceeded to collide with the two crashed vehicles. FHP said those drivers were also hurt.

The extent of their injuries has not been released.

Troopers are investigating the crashes as three separate incidents.
