Sarasota, FL : Englewood man dies in Glades County crash on Thursday morning, March 9, 2017
An Englewood man died in a two-car crash Thursday morning in Glades County, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
According to an FHP release, Daniel Neff, 52, of Englewood was driving a Dodge Journey east on State Road 78 at about 7 a.m. Neff made a left turn into the inside lane of U.S. 27 south and began traveling the wrong way on U.S. 27.
FHP reports that the front of the Dodge collided with the front of a Ford F-150 driven by Michael Folsom, 59, of Clearwater, who was traveling south on U.S. 27.
Neff, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP reports. Folsom, who was wearing a seat belt, was hospitalized with serious injuries. A passenger in the Ford, Eric Otradovec, 25, of Valrico, who was wearing a seat belt, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
