Sevierville ,TN :Six hurt in Four cars crash at I-40 exit 407 on Saturday ,July 18th 2015

Six people are in the hospital after a multiple car crash on Interstate 40 Saturday morning that shut down exit 407.

Four cars, including a semi-tractor trailer, crashed on the exit ramp around 11 a.m., according to the Sevierville Police Department.

Officials said crews took two people to UT Medical Center by Lifestar and transported four others to the hospital by ambulance. There's no word on their condition. The crash shut down the exit for about two hours backing traffic up for miles.

The Sevierville Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
