SPRINGFIELD, MO : Fair Grove man killed in west Springfield Mo crash on Friday, 5th January 2024

Police are investigating a crash that killed a man from Fair Grove

Officers responded to West Kearney near the former terminal at the Springfield-Branson National Airport around 4 p.m. on Friday.

Investigators say the driver, 84-year-old Harold Carpenter, failed to navigate the interchange onto General Aviation Avenue, went across the grass median, and hit a concrete wall. The crash did not involve any other drivers.

Carpenter died at the scene.
