Authorities say a driver was taken into custody in a hit-and-run in north Philadelphia that injured two pedestrians, one critically.
Officials said the victims were struck by a car after leaving a family party shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, and the vehicle fled the scene.
A witness reported seeing the vehicle heading east and followed it. Police responded and found the car, which had a broken windshield, and took the 29-year-old driver into custody.
Police said the two pedestrians were taken to Temple University Hospital. A 44-year-old man was reported in critical condition and a 41-year-old woman in stable condition.
The case remains under investigation and no charges were immediately announced.
